The presence of certain characteristics in professional nursing practice environments can promote the development of professionals and favour safe practices, among them, the philosophy of quality-focused care, interdisciplinary cooperation, responsibility with professional authority, promotion of nursing leadership, support for the professional development of nurses, and the development of cooperative relationships among health workers. The facilities that possess such attributes encourage improved outcomes for patients, for the nursing staff, and for the institution itself. In turn, professionals working in negative environments are dissatisfied with their jobs more frequently report an intention to leave their jobs, and are more exposed to burnout, a condition that negatively affects professionals and impacts the characteristics of the environment and patient outcomes.

Track 08: Strategies for Strengthening Nursing

Nursing and midwifery services are a vital resource for attaining health and development targets. They form the backbone of health systems around the globe and provide a platform for efforts to tackle the diseases that cause poverty and ill-health. If we are to succeed in improving health systems performance, urgent action is needed to overcome the problems that seriously undermine the contribution these services can make to the vision of better health for all communities.

Track 10: Nurses in Hospital Management

Nurses develop substantial knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of hospital systems and how they fail. Their ability to create workarounds to broken or dysfunctional systems is legendary in health care. As hospitals focus on increasing safety and reliability, patient centeredness and efficiency, nurses’ knowledge and commitment to their patients and institutions needs to be effectively mobilized. To accomplish this, nurses’ perspectives must be represented at the highest levels of hospital leadership and integrated into hospital decision making. In addition, consistent with process-improvement research that identifies the active involvement of front-line staff as a critical factor in making and sustaining change, processes for engaging nurses and other front-line staff also need to be expanded and institutions needs to be effectively mobilized. Track 11: Patient Safety

The safety of operating rooms is dependent in large measure on the professional and regulatory requirements that mandate skill levels, documentation standards, appropriate monitoring, and well-maintained equipment. Prescriptive and detailed protocols exist for almost every procedure performed, and although variation based on surgical and anesthesia preference is allowed, overall there is excellent management of the technical aspects. Experienced operating room physicians, nurses, and technicians come to rely on these operating room characteristics to support the delivery of safe care. Most practitioners, however, at some time—and some much of the time—have had the experience of working in suboptimal operating room conditions because the level of procedural complexity in even the simplest of operative procedures is not matched by the necessary team coordination, leadership engagement, or departmental perspective that encompasses all the prerequisites for reliable delivery of care.

Track 12: Palliative Care

Palliative and end of life care aim to provide holistic support to people who have any incurable or life-limiting progressive illness, to enable them to live as well as possible until they die. They include management of symptoms, and provision of psychological, social and spiritual support to the person and their friends and family. A 2013 national survey of bereaved people found that 76% of respondents rated the care that their friend or relative had received in the last three months of life as ‘good’ or better.

Track 13: Continuing Nursing Education Updates

Continuing education is necessary for nurses to perform competently, and respond positively to advanced medical, and technological changes in this age of rapid change, and to prevent obsolescence. It is needed to meet the expressed needs or interests of nurses to enable them to provide current and ultimately safe and effective patient care. It consists of planned learning experiences beyond a basic nursing educational program. Track 17: Primary Healthcare Nursing

Primary Health Care is a whole-of-society approach to health and well-being centred on the needs and preferences of individuals, families and communities.  It addresses the broader determinants of health and focuses on the comprehensive and interrelated aspects of physical, mental and social health and wellbeing. It provides whole-person care for health needs throughout the lifespan, not just for a set of specific diseases. Primary health care ensures people receive comprehensive care - ranging from promotion and prevention to treatment, rehabilitation and palliative care - as close as feasible to people’s everyday environment.

Primary Health care is rooted in a commitment to social justice and equity and in the recognition of the fundamental right to the highest attainable standard of health, as echoed in Article 25 of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights: “Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and wellbeing of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services”.

The concept of primary health care has been repeatedly reinterpreted and redefined.  In some contexts, it has referred to the provision of ambulatory or first-level of personal health care services. In other contexts, primary health care has been understood as a set of priority health interventions for low-income populations (also called selective primary health care). Others have understood primary health care as an essential component of human development, focusing on the economic, social and political aspects.

Nephrology nursing involves both preventing disease and assessing the health needs of patients and families. Nephrology nursing practice requires a common knowledge base to care for pediatric, adult, and older adult patients with kidney disease.

Nephrology nurses practice in dialysis clinics, hospitals, physician practices, transplant programs, and many other inpatient and outpatient settings. They work in primary, secondary, and tertiary care facilities as well as in patients' homes – wherever individuals experiencing or at risk for kidney disease receive health care.

In inpatient settings, patients are often critically ill and care is fast-paced and challenging. In outpatient settings, the nephrology nurse is an integral member of a multidisciplinary team that cares for patients with complex needs. The nurse in this setting functions as advocate, educator, consultant, care coordinator, and direct caregiver and oversees long-term care of chronically ill patients. As such, the nephrology nurse can have a positive impact on the quality of patients' lives.

This conference brings together professors, researchers, scientists, students, Doctors, Nursing Lecturers, Nurses Healthcare, Industries, Directors of Association and Societies Researchers, Training Institutes.

The organizing committee is gearing up for an exciting and informative conference program this year also which includes plenary lectures, symposia, workshops on a variety of topics, poster presentations and various programs for participants from all over the world.

Importance & Scope of Nursing Care:

Nursing Care play an integral role in the healthcare system. "Nursing care"is an expression often used to describe the essence of nursing practice. This is why they have been correctly referred to as the heart of healthcare. Being a nurse is one of the most demanding professions in the world and needs a lot of dedication and commitment to the job. Nursing is an incredibly varied profession. Each year globally 653,000 nurses, aides, orderlies, and others are injured or fall ill while at work. Nurses can work anywhere from hospitals to cruise ships and from summer camps to military facilities.

Scope of Nursing Care Summit 2021:

The conference offers the participants, sessions on clinical trends, education, research and healthcare management. Nursing is a field with higher degrees of scope in the future giving robust employment opportunities with highlighted scopes for travel nurses and foreign nurses with special visa statuses in Singapore. Clinical data management is gaining more importance in Singapore as it is expected to reduce the expenditure of the government caused due to redundant data and repetition of diagnostic tests. Nurses and related healthcare professionals will have an ample opportunity to connect with colleagues, researchers, exhibitors and young talents and have discussions on emerging trends and challenges in real-time practice.

Why to Attend???

Nursing Conference is an opportunity to meet others within specialty to network and to learn the latest clinical information. It is an opportunity no nurse should overlook. I’ve always embraced the opportunity to attend nursing conferences and have made a point to encourage others to attend whenever the opportunity arises. Nursing conferences allow nurses of all levels of experience to participate in an area of career and education growth that is not easily found within the structure of the workplace. All too often the floor/ bedside nurse believes that conferences are only for management, while others may think that spending one or more days not earning a pay check may not outweigh the opportunity to clock in some additional overtime. There may be a whole host of other reasons why a nurse would prefer to remain home rather than attending a conference.  Despite the plentiful excuses (the top two being cost and time), the benefits far outweigh the costs.
